Fleet Maintenance Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team.In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, efficiently, and safely.This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of equipment including Dump trucks, Pavers, track loaders, rollers, crack sealant applicators and Spray tankers, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver top-tier maintenance services.Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks.Conduct welding, fabrication, and assembly work to repair or modify equipment as needed.Fueling and checking fluids as well as greasing equipment.Filling seal coat, tack tanks and sports coating materials for the next days tasks.Utilize power tools and hand tools efficiently for repairs and maintenance tasks.Maintain accurate service records, logs, and reports for all maintenance activities performed.Assist in heavy lifting operations and perform tire service when necessary to ensure safety standards.Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment operation and automotive repair.Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, brakes (including air brake systems), HVAC systems, and diesel engine repair.Ability to operate forklifts, excavators, cranes, tractor-trailers, and other heavy machinery safely.Experience with welding, fabrication techniques including soldering and assembly work.Comfortable performing heavy lifting tasks using appropriate safety procedures.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.Join us as a Fleet Maintenance Technician to play a crucial role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and efficient!
