Overview Coming to the Nora District this Winter— Sports & Rec is an elevated sports bar experience from The Garret Group. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor Manager to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience. As a Floor Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff performance, and ensuring smooth and efficient service throughout each shift. You will work closely with the General Manager to uphold the high standards, vision, and values of The Garret Group, contributing to a positive workplace culture and the overall financial health of the business. This role requires hands-on leadership, the ability to motivate and inspire a team, and a focus on continuous improvement. You will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience while supporting team development and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily service operations and ensure a consistently excellent guest experience. Lead by example to foster a positive, high-performing team culture. Collaborate with the General Manager and ownership on operational goals and initiatives. Actively participate in floor service, guest engagement, and atmosphere management. Support private dining and event sales and execution. Monitor and manage staffing, scheduling, inventory, and prime costs to meet financial targets. Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, HR, and operational standards. Hire, train, coach, and develop team members in alignment with company values. Maintain high standards for food, beverage, and hospitality service. Handle conflict resolution, timekeeping accuracy, and cash management procedures. Promote a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Experience 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a high-volume restaurant. ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire) Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on management style. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to manage operations, staffing, and guest experience in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with POS systems, scheduling tools, and inventory management software. Knowledge of labor laws, health and safety regulations, and best practices in hospitality.
