Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Floor Repairer to repair a slate floor, including replacing broken tiles, and to finish out a different (rough) concrete floor.The job can only be extended with approval, but as it stands now, the work will only last 5 days.The anticipated work dates are April 15 through 20, 2026.We want to have someone hired by April 10.Responsibilities Lead the work of the floor repair and improvement project with decisiveness, and explain your work.Plan in advance for any tools and supplies you may need, although not everything can be anticipated.You may be re-imbursed for tools and supplies if we approve the purchases in advance.Measure and prepare surfaces accurately before applying repairs or new flooring materials.Follow safety protocols diligently when handling tools and working with potentially hazardous materials.Be able to work alone, or with others who are learning.Although your hours are flexible, you must plan ahead within agreed upon timeframes so we know when you are coming, and so that the job will be completed within the specified dates.Always be sober when on the worksite.Do not bring your friends, family, or pets to work.Do not use your phone excessively while working.Provide your own transportation, or communicate your needs in advance.Qualifications Proven experience in flooring repair and the ability to teach yourself regarding the safe and effective use of materials with which you do not have experience.Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively.Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.Strong communication skills and the ability to plan ahead and work independently or as part of a team.Pay:$30.00 - $70.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
