Job Summary:Seasonal position to monitor activities on water flume and flume area.Duties and Responsibilities: Aids in the safe use of water flume and surrounding pool, stairs and deck. Enforces flume rules and regulations.Maintains order on stairs and deck, in flume and pool below. Ensures only one participant slides down flume at a time. Ensure participant is clear of flume and out of the water before instructing next person to slide. Notifies lifeguard in the event of injury or harm to a participant. Assists supervisor in shutting down and re-opening area when necessary. Any other duties are deemed necessary, reasonable and relevant as assigned by the Aquatics Director.Qualifications Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age. Must have ability to follow directions and interact well with staff, members and guests. Possess effective verbal communication skills.Working Conditions and Environment Constant periods of sitting and standing engaged in occupational duties. Constant exposure to outdoor elements and temperatures including sun, wind, rain, heat and cold. Subject to come in contact or be exposed to water, chlorine, pool treatment chemicals, blood, unpleasant odors and substances. Frequent intervals of interaction with staff, members and guests. Unexpected interruptions from staff, visitors, members or guests may occur throughout the workday. Subject to loud noises from crowds, machinery or banquet functions which may occur throughout the workday..
