Food Prep Cook — Japanese Kitchen (Chula Vista)

We're a busy Japanese kitchen in Chula Vista looking for a reliable food prep cook to join our team full-time. You'll be doing hands-on prep work that goes into every dish we ship, so attention to detail and clean knife work matter. What you'll do Butterfly chicken legs and other proteins for marinating and cooking Wrap wontons and dumplings by hand at consistent size and shape Wash, cut, and portion vegetables and other ingredients Keep prep stations clean, organized, and stocked Follow recipes and portion specs accurately Maintain food safety and sanitation standards What we're looking for At least 1 year of prep cook or kitchen experience Solid basic knife skills (you should be comfortable with a chef's knife) Reliable, on-time, and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen Valid CA Food Handler card (or willing to get one in the first week) Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 30 lbs Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, not required What we offer $19–$20/hr based on experience Steady full-time hours, 5–6 days per week Free staff meal every shift Paid sick leave per CA law Friendly team, no drama How to apply Click Apply on Indeed with your resume or a short note about your kitchen experience.
