Job Description
Job Summary:Perform as part of a team having responsibility for packing an entire product or component of a product.Perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them.Supervisory Responsibilities:None Essential Duties/Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Assemble food items following prescribed Norpaco recipes.Pack food to strict food quality standards, including cleanliness, appearance, correct cheese, meat, and other ingredient ratios.Pack food products in trays, bags, jars, containers, and boxes according to specifications.While assembling products, keep workstation tidy.Dispose of defective products properly so they can be weighted and recorded.Maintain the floor beneath you without any food products so that people will not slip and fall on them.When a food product is an allergen, and during a food product changeover, clean workstation and tools using a sanitation solution.Remove contaminated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and change into new PPEs when reentering the food production room.Follow all GMPs - Good Manufacturing Procedures.Good attendance, as defined by our attendance policy, and reporting to work on-time is required to do this job satisfactorily.Perform all tasks in a safe manner.Report all safety hazards to management so that corrective action can be taken immediately.Required Skills/Abilities:Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.Applied Learning - Ability to participate in needed learning activities in a way that makes the most of the learning experience.Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.Honesty / Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be credible in the workplace.Interpersonal - Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals, must be a team player.Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.Diversity Oriented - Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type.Physical Requirements:Able to work in a cool production room where the temperature is about 45 degrees with strong smells like vinegar.Frequent periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching etc.Vision (Near, Color) Sense of Touch Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - food safety clothing.
