Food Runner and Hostess and server

Overview We are seeking a friendly and energetic Food Runner and Host to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring efficient service flow. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food service environments. This position offers an opportunity to develop guest relations skills and gain valuable experience in the restaurant industry. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently Assist servers by delivering food from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area Manage guest waitlists and provide accurate wait time estimates Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Support the front-of-house team with guest services to ensure a positive dining experience Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when needed Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction Skills Previous host/host experience preferred, with a strong background in customer service Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong guest relations skills, with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional phone etiquette and courteous demeanor at all times Experience in hotel or guest services is advantageous but not required This position is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality who enjoy engaging with guests and providing exceptional service.
