Food Runner busser At El Portal Restaurant, we are looking for energetic, dependable, and team-oriented individuals to join our front-of-house team as a Food Runner / Busser. This position plays an important role in delivering excellent guest service and helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dining experience. Responsibilities Deliver food quickly and accurately from the kitchen to guests Assist servers by checking table needs and clearing plates Reset and clean tables promptly for incoming guests Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, restrooms, patios, and service stations Refill waters, chips, salsa, and other guest requests when needed Help stock supplies, polish silverware, and restock stations Support teamwork by assisting servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff Follow food safety and sanitation standards Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times Wear non-slip shoes during all shifts Qualifications Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift trays, bus tubs, and stand for long periods Weekend and holiday availability required Restaurant experience preferred, but not required Food Handler Certificate required Schedule Requirements Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events Must be available for busy holidays such as Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day What We Offer Friendly and family-oriented work environment Flexible scheduling Growth opportunities within the restaurant Employee meal discounts Fast-paced and energetic atmosphere To apply, please visit us in person or send your resume to management.
