Job Description
Job Summary Provides food and beverage service to guests in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner as well as in compliance with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and departmental policies, and procedures. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell to all guests using a guest?s name, when possible, and making good eye contact. Takes orders for food and beverages. Bag?s food and beverages ensuring, and presentation standards are maintained. Assists in the preparation of orders, as required, performing tasks such as making fruit cups and sandwiches. Directs guest and team member complaints to supervisor in a pleasant and professional manner. Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift practicing clean-as-you-go procedures. Follows established safety and security policies and procedures including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions immediately to a supervisor. Ensures uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional. Fosters a team environment by working collaboratively with co-workers. Displays initiative and ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of calculator, point system, and currency transactions. Aware of Safety and handwashing procedures. Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills. Good communication and guest service skills. Skill in counting money and making correct change. Ability to multitask. Ability to communicate and follow directions effectively. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to stand and walk for an extended period. Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must demonstrate knowledge or ability to learn and retain menu information, including preparation and ingredients of all items. Must be reliable and dependable. Education, Certifications and Experience Required High School Diploma or GED and no experience is required Special Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License; Must successfully complete a background check and drug testing. No experience for casual eateries, caf? will supply training. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must either possess or obtain a valid Food Handler?s card. Must have employment eligibility in the U.S. The Pascua Yaqui Tribe provides 22 days of Paid Time Off which increases with years of service and 15 paid Holidays per year.
