Position Summary The Server / Busser / Food Runner / Cashier is a key hospitality team member responsible for delivering friendly, efficient, and attentive guest service. This role supports front-of-house operations by assisting guests throughout their dining experience while helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities Provide welcoming and attentive hospitality to guests Take food and beverage orders accurately using the Toast POS system Process guest payments efficiently and accurately Deliver food and beverages safely and promptly Understand menu items and answer guest questions Monitor guest satisfaction and communicate concerns to management Pre-bus and bus tables to maintain cleanliness standards Assist with side work, restocking, running food, cleaning stations, and maintaining dining areas Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings, beer selections, and promotions Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, respond promptly to requests, and ensure guest comfort. Minimum Qualifications & Skills Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Must meet California minimum age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages California Food Handler Card, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours) Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs or more Availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail. Schedule Expected hours: 8-24 hours per week 4 to 8 hour shifts available Day, evening, morning, night, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required Benefits Employee discount Flexible scheduling Work Location In person at Sudwerk Brewing Co.
