$24.28 per hour At CoreCivic, our employees are driven by a deep sense of service, high standards of professionalism and a responsibility to better the public good.We are currently seeking a Food Service Worker who has a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional, secure setting.Come join a team that is dedicated to making an impact for the people and communities we serve.The Food Service Worker performs high volume food preparation of average difficulty at a correctional facility and/or leads inmates/residents in food production activities.Performs related duties as required.Assist/lead inmates/residents in preparation of volume meals, managing supplies and cleaning Prepare meals and special diets in accordance with approved menus by a registered dietitian.Assist/direct the serving of meals according to schedules, portions, and proper procedures.Conduct inspections for compliance with health and safety standards; resolve issues according.Assist in maintaining inventory and in ordering and receiving food and food preparation supplies.Qualifications:High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.Prefer experience in food service and good knowledge of volume food service operation, including safety and sanitation preferred.Must meet all state and local government food handling requirements.Must be available to work any hours, any shift.A valid driver's license is preferred, unless required by contract or applicable statute.Minimum age requirement:Must be at least 21 years of age.CoreCivic is a Drug-Free Workplace & EOE including Disability/Veteran.
