About Prevolve Prevolve builds custom soccer cleats from the ground up — 3D-printed to each athlete’s exact foot geometry and hand-assembled in our Kent facility. We’re at the intersection of advanced manufacturing and traditional craft, and every pair that leaves our shop is one of a kind. The Role You’ll be hands-on throughout the full assembly sequence — from surface preparation and adhesive bonding through lasting, sole attachment, and final quality inspection. This isn’t a fast-moving line job; it’s precise, skilled work where consistency and attention to detail are what define a good day. What You’ll Do Bond uppers, insoles, heel counters, and cleat plates using solvent-based adhesive systems; apply and manage DMF-based adhesives following established safety protocols and PPE requirements Perform lasting operations, ensuring proper fit, tension, and alignment before sole bonding Prep bonding surfaces using sanding, scuffing, and rotary tools (Dremel); apply primers as required Execute sole attachment using vacuum bagging; monitor and release cure cycles Conduct final quality inspection on each unit — checking bond integrity, cosmetic finish, fit, and component alignment before sign-off Handle and stage 3D-printed components; perform light support removal and post-processing as needed Flag process issues, out-of-spec components, or quality concerns immediately; contribute to ongoing process improvement Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times What We’re Looking For Exceptional attention to detail — you hold yourself to a high standard without being told to Steady hands and comfort with precise, repetitive manual work; ability to stand and perform repetitive hand motions for extended periods Prior experience in footwear assembly or shoe manufacturing is highly valued — familiarity with lasting, adhesive bonding, welt construction, or sole attachment is a significant advantage Experience in adjacent fine handwork trades also considered: leatherworking, saddle-making, upholstery, orthotics fabrication, or automotive paint and body finishing Comfort working with solvents and adhesives in a controlled, ventilated environment (DMF; full safety orientation and PPE provided on day one) Ability to read and follow multi-step assembly procedures and maintain consistent output across units Willingness to share design observations or flag quality issues — your hands-on perspective matters and we want to hear it Comfortable pitching in on general facility upkeep (cleaning, trash, maintaining a tidy shop) — everyone contributes Strong communication — small team, issues get surfaced early, not buried Reliable and punctual; your output directly affects the production schedule Work Environment This is a hands-on production role in our small manufacturing facility in Kent. You’ll be on your feet for most of the day performing precise assembly work, and the shop can get warm — particularly in summer. Occasional lifting of components and materials is part of the job. A break area with a fridge, seating, and a bathroom is available on-site.
