Where: Rio Verde, 20 minutes north of Scottsdale, Arizona Pay: $24 per hour Benefits: New hourly full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year. Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually. Part-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state guidelines. POSITION OVERVIEW: As a member of the Landscape Maintenance Team, the Foreman is responsible for the upkeep and manicuring of all landscaped areas and hardscapes within the community.This is a mid-level landscaping position that accepts direction from the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) to support the achievement of company goals. Identify plants throughout the community and be able to determine plant stress or plant health. Perform upkeep and manicuring of all landscaped areas and hardscapes within the community. Follow directions and perform tasks given under the supervision of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. Supervise Laborers and Crew Leaders to ensure they know their assignments and are productively working at all times.Provide feedback to supervisors regarding individual crew member performance. Cooperate and assist team members; contribute to the completion of daily tasks. Work in a safe manner and use all personal protective equipment (safety gear) assigned. Be aware of safety requirements, monitor equipment to ensure it is in working order, and promptly report unsafe conditions, repair needs, or accidents to supervisor. Supervise vehicle refueling and loading of materials needed for the next day. Accurately complete all daily and weekly work logs and repair report reports. Conduct end-of-day review and prepare next days’ tasks with supervisor. May occasionally be requested to work overtime or during the weekend to assist during special events when extra labor is required (i.e. weddings, tours, openings, etc.). Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Must be highly customer oriented and responsive with high need for closure. Able to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments. Strong team-building skills, including the ability to lead, cooperate, and motivate. Must be a role model and able to live our BlueStar core values: Honesty and Integrity Respect for the Individual Teamwork Competitive Spirit MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS: High School diploma or equivalent. Two to four years’ experience with landscape maintenance and supervisory experience preferred. Document a thorough knowledge of landscape maintenance with references and work history. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Computer literate preferred. Thorough knowledge of native and desert adapted plants, plant health, and water needs. Must know trimming and pruning practices, and have ability to prune trees and shrubs to Sustainable Landscape Management (SLM) standards and teach correct pruning practices. Knowledge of the use and application for various fertilizers and chemicals. Dependable knowledge of rotation schedules and ability to communicate improved processes to direct supervisor. Must know how to operate standard power and manual yard care equipment, including all small walk-behind and ride-on mowers plus power yard care equipment; ability to teach others the s
