Job OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and energetic Forklift Driver / Warehouse & Orchard Support to join our dynamic team.This vital role combines efficient warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and orchard support tasks to ensure smooth operations across our facilities.You will play a key part in managing materials handling, order picking, shipping and receiving, and supporting orchard activities with precision and safety.This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are paramount.About Lage Orchards Lage Orchards is a progressive, fifth-generation, family-owned business that is vertically integrated and dedicated to serving the fresh fruit commercial market.We are committed to growing, storing, and shipping high-quality fruit that meets the expectations of our valued commercial customers.Our employees are highly valued, treated with respect, and supported in their growth.We proudly support our community and remain committed to helping others.Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Forklift Driver to join our warehouse and orchard support team.This role involves forklift operation, cold-storage activities, order fulfillment, and seasonal harvest responsibilities.Training is available for truck operation, flatbed driving, and Farm CDL development.Key Responsibilities Forklift & Cold Storage Operate forklift for loading, unloading, and stacking fruit (up to 7-10 high).Receive fruit during harvest and properly place it into storage for processing.Load Controlled Atmosphere (CA) rooms and maintain accurate storage maps.Work safely in cold-storage environments; ammonia-cooled storage experience is a plus.Order Fulfillment & Inventory Pick and prepare commercial customer orders accurately.Verify orders, audit tags, and reconcile discrepancies.Track inventory, count product, and load trucks and trailers.General & Seasonal Duties Perform routine cleaning and general maintenance of work areas.Support orchard operations during slower summer periods.Qualifications Forklift experience preferred (training available).Willingness to learn truck/flatbed driving and Farm CDL skills.Strong attention to detail with accurate counting and verification abilities.Dependable, motivated, and able to complete tasks independently while taking initiative on work flow and orchard operations.Basic computer use for data entry and inventory systems.Ability to use or learn:Inventory and order-tracking software Basic spreadsheet tools Email/communication platforms Free hand and Digital storage-mapping tools Benefits 40 hours of paid sick leave, accrued.Additional 40 hours of sick leave after 1 year of employment.401(k) plan available after meeting the qualification period.50% employer-paid medical insurance premiums for employees.Why Work With Us Be part of a respected, long-standing, family-owned orchard business.Training and opportunities for advancement, including forklift and CDL-related skills.Supportive, community-minded environment with strong company values.Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to operational excellence!
