Summary This job is responsible for operating material handling equipment in a safe manner for the purpose of moving, locating, stacking and counting merchandise. Key Responsibilities Forklift Line Service employees are required to be cross trained with Materials and Inventory Coordinators and are able to perform functions within their security role. Ensures there is no injury to self or others by following safe work practices (including Standard Operating Procedures) and policies. Must be able to complete training on the safe operation of the lift truck (forklift) and successfully pass the certification test requirements. This training and certification are requirements in accordance with OSHA 1910.78 standards for Material Handling and Storage using Powered Industrial Trucks. Ensures proper inspection of forklift. Ensures trash totes are emptied and located in areas needed. Monitors the safe operation of the trash compactors and dumpsters. Properly creates tote tags/ pallet tags and performs timely data entry into DCS. Typical Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Relevant Experience Must have successfully completed the Job Skill Evaluation to begin training in the position.
