Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to North Platte and may not be applicable to other locations.What your day in this role might involve at OC-North Platte:Overview To adequately and efficiently transport product, raw materials, etc.from location to location within the manufacturing facility.Ensure all product is transported in a safe manner. Safely and efficiently empty trash throughout the plant multiple times per day Sawdust Coordinate sawdust removal and trash removal with outside companies Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility.Abide by all safety rules and regulations required with forklift operation Must be able to work extended hours and overtime as needed if business need requires Replace pallets/runners as necessary to maintain a safe working environment Will also perform other related duties as assigned, which may not be specifically listed in the job description Maintain a safe and clean work environment Other duties as assigned.What makes a successful OC North Platte team member:Must haves include High School Diploma or equivalent.Prior forklift operation in manufacturing environment Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner Ability to multi-task Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility Would be terrific if you also had Self-driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethic 2-3 Years in the field or related area Forklift knowledge and safety procedures Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment Solid verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills Ability to organize and maintain detailed records Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have ability to multi-task Desirable (but not required):Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook, with fast and accurate data entry skills There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight Required to mount and dismount forklift multiple times per day Climb and descend forklift as needed Lift 50 pounds as needed Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 60 pounds) Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable Our people and products make the world a better place.Help us accomplish great things in North Platte!
