Job Description
Cassian Partners opens primary share allocations in the world's leading private frontier companies to institutional and family capital. This is the first Chief of Staff hire at the firm: the operating right hand to the CEO, with real authority to extend his reach, run the firm's internal tempo, and own the strategic and operational projects that do not yet have an owner. What You'll Own Strategic projects across deal flow, fundraising, and firm operations, including diligence support, capital introductions, LP communications, and the recurring initiatives the CEO does not have the capacity to drive directly. Internal communications, board and LP updates, CEO correspondence, and the construction of firm-level reporting cadence for both internal stakeholders and external counterparties. Vendor, counsel, and stakeholder management. Hiring coordination, onboarding, travel, meeting preparation, and the operational scaffolding required to build a firm from founding through institutional maturity. First-line judgment and proxy decisions when the CEO cannot be reached, with discretion to act on his behalf within defined scope. Who You Are Four or more years in management consulting at MBB or tier-1, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or a hedge fund, or a senior seat within startup operations or a founder's office. Track record of owning complex projects end-to-end, not coordinating them. Financial fluency across deal mechanics, capital markets terminology, and private-company structures. Fluent in Microsoft 365, Slack, Notion, AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT), and CRM platforms (HubSpot, Folk, Affinity). Uses these systems to compound output, not as a substitute for judgment. Willing to travel domestically and internationally, often alongside the CEO, sometimes on short notice. Bachelor's degree required. MBA or equivalent depth a plus but not mandatory. US work authorization or a clear pathway. Operator by disposition. Composed under pressure, discreet by default, resourceful enough to solve rather than escalate, direct enough to push back when the CEO is wrong about something inside scope, with the deference of an executor and the spine of a counselor.
