Position Summary Tampa Brass & Aluminum Corp is seeking a skilled Foundry Operator with hands-on experience in metal processing and finishing. This role requires a strong understanding of foundry operations, safe handling of molten and high-temperature materials, and proficiency with hand-held tools. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, high-heat environment. Key Responsibilities Safely handle and process metal castings in a high-temperature foundry environment Operate and maintain hand tools such as grinders, band saws, and other finishing equipment Perform cutting, grinding, and cleaning of cast parts to meet quality specifications Identify surface defects, inconsistencies, and non-conformances in castings Support pouring, cooling, and post-processing operations as needed Follow and enforce strict safety protocols, including proper PPE usage Maintain production efficiency while ensuring quality standards are met Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations Qualifications Required: 2+ years of experience in a foundry, metal manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment Proven experience using grinders, band saws, and other hand-held tools Ability to work safely with extremely hot materials and in high-heat conditions Strong understanding of metal finishing and basic quality standards Ability to read work instructions and follow technical guidelines Physically capable of lifting, standing, and working in demanding conditions Preferred: Experience with non-ferrous metals (brass, aluminum) Familiarity with casting processes and post-cast finishing Basic understanding of quali
