Job Description: The Repack Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fresh produce repack department.This role ensures that team members are properly assigned, production flows efficiently, and quality standards are met.The supervisor also assists with hands-on tasks, monitors production metrics, ensures cleanliness and food safety, and completes required documentation, including repack costing and production reports. Responsibilities & Duties: Select product to be brought down for repack and assign it to appropriate packing lines. Assign employees to stations based on their skills and strengths. Take attendance and confirm team presence at the start of each shift. Monitor employees to ensure tasks are being completed correctly and efficiently. Provide support on the packing line as needed. Complete and close out repack reports after production runs to generate tags and properly stage finished product. Send production status updates at designated intervals. Inspect product quality throughout the repack process and report any irregularities. Assign team members to specific cleaning duties at the end of the shift. Perform repack cost analysis (cost per box, yield tracking, material use). Ensure proper shutdown of the work area, including lights and door security. Oversee cleanliness of product, equipment, tables, and repack area. Ensure correct handling of product through bagging, boxing, weighing, dumping, sorting, labeling, stacking, and box assembly. Oversee printing and application of PLU and box labels. Track and document employee productivity and time during repack operations. Qualifications: Prior experience supervising teams in repack or production environments (fresh produce experience preferred). Understanding of repack processes, quality control, and inventory handling. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Basic math and data entry skills for cost tracking and reporting. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with production tracking systems or software (a plus but not required). Work is performed in a refrigerated or temperature-controlled warehouse environment. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform moderate physical tasks. Availability to work flexible or extended hours, especially during peak seasons.
