Join our team and work with a fast-paced, growing company that offers a rewarding work experience and the opportunity to build a career in the hospitality industry.Proactively identifies, qualifies, and solicits new business opportunities through account and market penetration and saturation.Works collaboratively with other members of the hotel team to ensure sales efforts are coordinated.Identifies, qualifies and maintains lead sources and active accounts through telephone contact, site tours and inside and appointments, occasionally, outside appointments as needed.Responsible for execution of action plan outlining planned sales activities for the week, month, and quarter for the assigned market segment.Conducts effective site visits.Use available tools to understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses, and knows how to sell against them to targeted market segments.Creates detailed customer account records, correspondence, sales agreements, proposals, and thank you letters for own accounts or in support of other sales professionals.Communicates with internal customers and resources to ensure effective guest service.Partners with operations in providing a customer experience that exceeds the customer's expectations.Acts as customer liaison with hotel during customer stay ensuring daily needs are met and to ensure overall customer satisfaction.Assist Director of Sales and Sales Manager with projects, special events and presentations.Purpose:To check in and out guests to the hotel, ensure proper room and miscellaneous postings, secure credit, answer questions, answer telephones, provide maximum levels of guest service and support the hotel's rooms division in anyway required to ensure complete guest satisfaction.Guest Service Agents (GSA) are the chief representatives of our hotel.They are our standard bearers, and they set the example for every other employee in our hotel.GSAs must be observant, attentive, respectful and relaxed.Their demeanor must inspire confidence in others and bring peace to potential chaos.Through their smile, warmth and concern they will diffuse any negative situation.GSAs must be friendly, but never familiar.They must be highly detailed and skilled at multi-tasking.While they have many duties, none is moreimportant than servicing the guest.Responsibilities:1.Learn and follow service standards at all times2.Display, at all times, a friendly, courteous and professional manner in all dealings with guests, patrons and other employees.3.Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of hotel.4.Verify customers' credit and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation.5.Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts using computerized property managementsystems.6.Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.7.Perform simple bookkeeping activities, such as balancing cash accounts.8.Issue room keys and escort instructions to bellmen.9.Review accounts and charges with guests during the check out process.10.Post charges, such those for rooms, food, liquor, or telephone calls, to ledgers manually, or by using computers.11.Transmit and receive messages, using telephones or telephone switchboards.email12.Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.13.Make and confirm reservations.Accept reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence ofthe reservations staff14.Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining,entertainment, and travel directions.15.Work closely with the Concierge and Bell staff to coordinate the efficient handling of guest luggageand follow up on guest requests.16.Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary.17.Advise housekeeping staff when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning.18.Answer all incoming phones in three or less rings.19.Must possess basic computer skills.20.Assume the responsibilities of the Front Office Supervisor in his/her absence.21.Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned22.Participate in task forces and committees as requested.23.All other duties assigned by the General Manager or Management Company Job Requirements:Be an outgoing, welcoming personality for the hotel.Use logical thinking and personal judgment to perform a variety of office tasks.Make decisions based on your own judgment and company policy.Follow instructions without close supervision.Speak and write clearly and accurately.Be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $19.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience:Hotel Experience:1 year (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
