Front Desk Receptionist (Primarily Remote – 80% Remote / 20% In-Clinic) Specialty Neurology Clinic – Bellevue, WA We are seeking a professional, friendly, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to support our specialty neurology clinic and affiliated providers. This position can primarily remote , with in-clinic responsibilities at our Bellevue location. Initial training will be conducted onsite tull-time in Bellevue. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys patient interaction, thrives in a structured environment, and can work independently while maintaining excellent communication with providers and staff. Primarily you will be handling: Answering incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette Managing appointment scheduling and provider calendars Responding to patient inquiries via phone and email Coordinating referrals and outside provider communications Assisting with insurance verification and prior authorizations Managing incoming/outgoing communications Supporting EMR documentation and administrative workflows The ideal candidate is responsive, organized, and comfortable handling a high volume of calls while working independently from home. In-Clinic Responsibilities When onsite, responsibilities include: Greeting patients warmly and professionally Managing front desk check-in and check-out Collecting and verifying patient information and insurance details Coordinating clinic flow with providers and medical assistants Assisting with light room turnover to ensure readiness Supporting overall clinic operations Training Provided EMR system training -- you will learn how to manage three different EMR systems (EPIC, Athena, & Polaris) Different clinic with different EMR system Phone and front desk communication standards Referral and insurance workflow training Prior authorization basics Clinic workflow and provider coordination Qualifications Required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional phone presence Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Reliable internet connection for remote work Ability to work independently and responsibly Detail-oriented and dependable Preferred Bachelor’s degree Prior medical office or specialty clinic experience Experience with EMR systems Knowledge of insurance verification and referral processes Ideal Candidate Friendly, calm, and patient-focused Highly organized and efficient Comfortable balancing remote administrative work with occasional in-clinic duties Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Interested in long-term growth in a specialty medical setting Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bellevue, WA 98004
