Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Front Desk Receptionist and Dental Assistant, where your energy and dedication will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the smooth operation of our dental practice. This dual role combines front office responsibilities with clinical assistance, ensuring exceptional patient care from the moment they walk through our doors. You will be instrumental in managing patient appointments, handling medical and dental documentation, and assisting with chairside procedures, all while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and confidentiality. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and schedule appointments efficiently Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate collection of vital signs and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist dentist during procedures including general dentistry, by preparing instruments and materials. Take dental X-rays, operate ITERO scanner to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain infection control protocols through aseptic technique, sterilization procedures, and proper handling of dental equipment. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques, ensuring smooth workflow during patient treatments. Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, managing appointment scheduling, processing insurance claims, and updating medical documentation with accuracy. Skills Proficiency in Sofdent for scheduling, record keeping, and billing. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security. Experience with dental terminology, for accurate documentation. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic technique within a dental setting. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry to assist in procedures confidently. Pay: $24.28 - $29.24 per hour Work Location: In person
