Job description Front of House (FOH) Server Supervisor About Shannopin Country Club For more than 125 years, Shannopin Country Club has served the North Hills community of Pittsburgh as an exceptional family-oriented country club and golf course. We are located in the heart of Ben Avon Heights, Pennsylvania, about 10 minutes North of Downtown Pittsburgh. Job Description We are looking for an amazing FOH lead for our members-only, fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will be a communicative, positive, and professional leader with a strong passion for hospitality and creating impeccable customer experiences, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to learn and advance. This highly motivated individual will help ensure the efficient daily operations of the member dining area and help maintain high productivity, quality, and member‑service standards under the direction of the Dining Services Manager. As lead server, you will be responsible for leading, training, and inspiring other servers to deliver superior service and exemplary customer satisfaction. You will oversee the operations of the dining area along side, and in the absence of, the Dining Services Manager, and may, at times, be called upon to seat guests, bartend, or perform other supervisory tasks as required. You will assist in maintaining an elegant and welcoming dining environment and an organized service station and kitchen work area. You will regularly collaborate with the Dining Services Manager on preserving our restaurant’s good image and high standards and on ways to improve operations. The position is full‑time hourly (which is defined as an average of 33 hours per week). Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a server and/or bartender, with at least 1 year of being in a role that demonstrates leadership skills. Candidates must also possess basic bartending skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and have a positive drive to succeed. Skills: Proven customer service and work experience as a server and bartender with prior experience demonstrating leadership skills Food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to recall ingredients and describe and suggest dishes and beverages, including beers, wines, and cocktails Familiarity with restaurant software (prior experience with Northstar is a plus!) Strong leadership, time management, motivational, and people skills Additional Job Requirements: Able to stand or be in motion for 8 to 10 hours Lift a minimum of 50 pounds Climb stairs or navigate different surface levels while carrying items Have reliable transportation Work daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays (our days and hours of operation are typically Tuesday through Sunday, 11 am to 9 pm) RAMP certified (cost reimbursement if not already RAMP certified) Job Type: Full-Time Hourly (looking for someone who can work primarily daytime hours) Expected hours: 33 to 40 hours per week with occasional overtime (scheduled hours will include weekends and some holidays) Pay: Competitive, based upon experience Additional Benefits: Flexible schedule Health Insurance Benefits Paid Vacation, Sick and Personal time (after 1 year of service) Participation in a retirement plan with matching (once qualified) Job Type: Full-time Benefits 401(k) Food provided Health insurance Work Location: In person
