Job Description
Busy specialty practice is seeking a full-time Front Office Coordinator.This role would entail daily face-to-face interaction with patients, scheduling, working with clinical documentation, assisting providers and mastering various administrative workflows independently in a fast-paced environment.Ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, be highly organized and able to multitask, enjoy customer service and teamwork, and be willing to learn and grow.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Confirm patient appointments, ensure patient instructions are provided and required documentation is completed.Check patients in/out, assist walk-ins.Dispense home sleep testing equipment and educate patients on equipment use.Clean and sanitize equipment after each use.Verify insurance eligibility and prior-authorization requirements.Schedule patients for consultations, sleep studies, DME services and follow up appointments according to care plan.Collect and record patient payments with accuracy.Answer multi-line phone in a positive, polite and professional manner Process incoming faxes, including referrals, clinical updates and requests for medical records.Review and print reports/clinical notes, send clinical updates to referring providers.Send referrals to other specialties and DME vendors.Provide a positive customer service experience when interacting with external and internal parties.Complete data entry in relevant systems.Maintain orderly and clean the office space, prepare patient areas and exam rooms.Perform routine clerical tasks, including retrieving charts, clearing voicemail and fax messages.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 3 years of office experience, medical setting preferred Familiarity with medical terminology, referral process and medical insurance coverage preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a busy environment Ability to interface with patients, insurance companies and others in a clear, positive, and professional manner Ability to multi-task and work independently in the absence of supervision Ability to operate a variety of standard office machines, including a personal computer and a variety of software programs.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, Internet Work Schedule:Monday - Friday:9:00 am to 5:00 pm Compensation:DOE Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $20.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Paid time off Work Location:In person.
