Essential Functions:Duties are not exhaustive but reflect the core content of the job expectations and responsibilities. A positive attitude and a strong teamwork mentality are must-haves! Answers incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner and directs the calls to the appropriate clinic staff when applicable.Responsible for all patient registration activities and the scheduling of appointments.Responsible for accurate data entry of patient demographics, insurance, email addresses as well as insurance information.Confirms upcoming appointments according to Tulip Tree policy.Contacts patients to schedule needed preventative care according to requirements by insurance plans.Collects any unpaid balances as well as co-pays or deductibles.Discusses any unpaid bills with client.Responsible for maintaining accurate document placement of records incoming through scanner and through fax according to Tulip Tree policies and procedures.Participates in the Tulip Tree continuous quality improvement process.Mails letters for clinical staff to patients.Makes return calls for dental patients and relays dental staff responses to the patient.Sends appointment reminders to patients by mail.Responsible for verification of insurance eligibility daily.Assures dental prior authorizations are still active and accurate for each appointment that requires a prior authorization.Records transition of care and obtains/notifies proper staff member to obtain medical records to accurately treat patient in a transition of care situation.Enters accurate dental cases to assure proper dental insurance billing.REQUIREMENTS AND CAPACITY:Education/Experience:High School Diploma required, College degree preferred.Must have at least 1 year office experience, medical office experience a plus.Experience with EClinicalWorks or other Electronic Health Record preferred.Moving:Moves in and out of hallways, doorways, and exam rooms during clinic hours.Reading/Vision:Visual acuity required to utilize computer programs, calculator, and other office equipment.Eye/hand coordination and finger dexterity needed to operate computer and office equipment.Must be able to read and generate written communication and documentation.Speaking/hearing:Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, clients, physicians and other collaborative community agencies.Must be able to use appropriate grammar, vocabulary, and word usage.Auditory acuity is necessary to utilize telephone and to interact with clients and insurance agencies.Benefit Conditions:Waiting period may apply Work Remotely No Job Type:Full-time Pay:$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
