Fruit and Veggie Cutter & Packager Location:King Soopers - Aurora, CO 80014, Lakewood, CODepartment:ProduceEmployment Type:Full-Time or Part-TimeReports To:Supreme Produce Operation Manager Position Summary As a Fruit and Veggie Cutter & Packager, you will prepare, cut, and package fresh fruits and vegetables for retail display and customer purchase.You'll ensure that all products are fresh, visually appealing, and meet food safety and quality standards -- helping provide an excellent shopping experience for every customer.Key Responsibilities Wash, peel, slice, and cut fresh fruits and vegetables according to proper food prep standards Package prepared produce into trays, containers, or bags with accurate labeling Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized workstations and equipment Monitor product freshness and remove spoiled or damaged items Rotate and stock packaged fruit products in refrigerated display cases Follow all food safety, temperature logging, and sanitation procedures Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and answer produce-related questions Work collaboratively with the produce department team to meet daily production goals Perform other duties as assigned by management Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Willing to obtain a Serve Safe Food Handler Permit (provided online, free after hire) Prior food prep or produce handling experience preferred but not required Ability to work in a cold environment (40-50 F) Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods Good knife skills and strong attention to detail Basic math and reading comprehension skills Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts as needed Compensation Training Pay:$14.50/hour (first week) Regular Pay:$16.50/hour after training Schedule Options 1.Full-Time Schedule 2.Part-Time Schedule Job Types:Full-time, Part-time Pay:$16.50 per hour License/Certification:ServSafe fod handler (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
