Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in upscale casual dining and catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to our menu planning and overall dining experience. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new menu items and improve existing offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage and handling practices. Adhere to food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines at all times. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when required. Demonstrate excellent knife skills for meal preparation and presentation. Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests. Qualifications Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and menu planning. Experience in fine dining or catering is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred but not mandatory.
