Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Fry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of fried foods in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring high-quality meals are served to our customers. This position is essential in maintaining the standards of our dietary department and contributing to our overall catering services. Duties Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards, focusing on fried dishes. Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage practices. Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes to ensure freshness and taste. Follow all food safety guidelines, including proper handling, cooking temperatures, and sanitation procedures. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Assist in menu planning and development by providing input on new fried items or improvements. Skills Experience in the dietary department or food service industry is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food. Familiarity with culinary techniques, particularly frying methods. Proficiency with kitchen tools, including knives and fryers. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen.
