A Bartender for Sushi by Bou takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Hotel and you'll be part of a great team of helpful people who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction. A Bartender for Sushi by Bou creates a welcoming and memorable guest experience by preparing and serving beverages promptly and courteously in a fast-paced, upscale setting, while consistently maintaining the standards of excellence set by Sushi by Bou, Crescent Hotels & Resorts, and Marriott International. Required Skills and Abilities Must have the ability to communicate in English Self-starting personality with an even disposition Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times Can communicate well with guests Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock Sufficient strength to lift, load, and transport product weighing up to 50 lb. from storage facility to bar Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons Experience Previous experience required including cash handling and customer service Proven bartending experience, preferably in fine dining or upscale hospitality Knowledge of cocktails, wine, and spirits, with the ability to make recommendations Experience in hospitality a plus. Licenses or Certificates Ability to obtain both Maricopa Health Card (Food Handlers Card) and Alcohol Certificate - required Performance Standards Customer Satisfaction Our guests are what we are about.
