Job Description
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8am-4pm "As I love you, you must love one another." (John 13:34). Case Aides support our Samaritan's House Emergency Shelter and Genesis House Transitional Housing programs, both operating at 156 N. Plymouth Avenue. This role is part of a 24/7 environment that combines the accessibility of a traditional emergency shelter with the structure and accountability of a case management-focused transitional program-helping guests move forward in their journey with God and toward independent living. Employees provide direct support, encouragement, and accountability to adult guests while maintaining safety, structure, and security within the program. This role is best suited for individuals who are strongly aligned with our faith-based mission and bring foundational experience or exposure to behavioral health , including residential, mental health, addiction, or trauma-informed care. We Are Seeking Candidates Who Have experience or demonstrated interest in behavioral health, mental health, addiction recovery, or human services Are comfortable engaging with individuals in crisis or early stages of stabilization Can balance compassion with structure, accountability, and boundary-setting Are ready to thrive in a faith-based environment, including participation in prayer, devotions, and Gospel-centered engagement with guests This is an excellent opportunity for those currently in-or seeking to grow within-the behavioral health field, particularly within the homeless services population. Must be willing to receive training and assist with CPR, First Aid, and Narcan administration as needed.
