Location: Cody, Wyoming Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site Industry: Legal / Law Firm About Us BPE Law Group is a growing, multi-jurisdictional law firm with established practice areas serving clients across the United States.As part of a strategic expansion, firm ownership is expanding legal services and business operations in the Cody, Wyoming area.We are seeking a committed, reliable, and experienced bookkeeper to help build and maintain strong financial systems that support continued national growth and long-term stability. Position Summary We are seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage all accounting and financial operations for our law firm.This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing trust and operating accounts, and ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards.The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and comfortable working independently while supporting attorneys and firm leadership. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions for the firm Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and chart of accounts Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and trust accounts Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable Manage payroll processing and related filings Track expenses, reimbursements, and firm budgets Trust & Client Accounting Maintain attorney trust (IOLTA) and client trust accounts in compliance with the State Bar rules for the states that the company operates practices which currently would include California, Washington, Nevada and Wyoming Ensure accurate recording of client retainers, settlements, and disbursements Perform regular three-way trust reconciliations Prepare documentation for audits or compliance reviews Reporting Prepare financial reports for firm partners and management Coordinate with outside CPA for tax filings and year-end close Administrative & Compliance Support Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and client information Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations Assist with internal controls and process improvements Respond to financial inquiries from attorneys and staff Qualifications Ideal Candidate 5years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong knowledge of general accounting principles Experience with trust accounting (legal or similar regulated environment preferred) Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar) High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong ethical standards and discretion Company is willing to train to this position for the right candidate. Preferred Prior experience working in a law firm or professional services environment Familiarity with legal billing software Experience working with CPAs and external auditors Work Environment & Schedule Full-time, on-site position in Cody, Wyoming Standard business hours, with occasional flexibility during month-end or year-end close Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Benefits package include employee health (medical, dental and vision) insurance after 90 days of service, 401k and company match, paid vacation, sick time, discretionary bonuses, etc.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$22.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours:No more than 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
