Full-Charge Bookkeeper (Construction / Restoration Industry) Location:South Florida Company:Licensed General Contractor - Water Mitigation, Mold Remediation & Full Rebuild Services About Us We are an established General Contractor serving South Florida with a strong reputation in the restoration industry.Our work includes emergency mitigation, reconstruction, and insurance-related projects.We operate in a fast-paced, job-cost driven environment and are looking for a highly experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper who understands construction accounting from start to finish.Who We're Looking For We are seeking a high-level, hands-on accounting professional with 5years of construction accounting experience who can independently manage the full accounting cycle in a restoration-based general contracting company.This is not a data-entry role.This is a leadership-level bookkeeping position responsible for maintaining accurate financials, protecting margins, and supporting company growth.Core Responsibilities Manage full accounting cycle including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.Oversee payroll processing and labor allocation.Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.Produce monthly financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet).Maintain job cost structures and track actual vs.estimated costs.Monitor gross profit per project and identify cost overruns.Invoice insurance carriers and private clients.Track supplements, draw schedules, and manage TPA billing documentation.Maintain subcontractor compliance (W-9s, COIs).Monitor cash flow and manage AP/AR aging.Prepare 1099s and coordinate with outside CPA.Support bonding and banking requirements.Required Qualifications 5years of construction or restoration accounting experience.Strong understanding of job cost accounting.Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Online Advanced preferred).Experience processing weekly field payroll.Deep knowledge of AP/AR processes in a contractor environment.Experience working with insurance-funded projects.Strong reconciliation and reporting skills.Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.Preferred Experience Experience in restoration (water, mold, fire, rebuild).Familiarity with Xactimate-based billing environments.Multi-location accounting experience.Experience managing accounting workflows for $5Mrevenue companies.Why This Role Matters In our company, the Full-Charge Bookkeeper is the financial backbone of operations.This position directly impacts profitability, cash flow, and our ability to scale.If you understand construction accounting beyond basic bookkeeping -- and you want to work in a company where your expertise truly matters -- we want to hear from you.Pay:From $75,000.00 per year Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
