Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Lead Bookkeeper to join our finance team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Accounting. This pivotal role is responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate and non-profit accounting, with expertise in various accounting software platforms. Your energetic approach will help streamline financial processes, support audit readiness, and contribute to the overall financial health of our organization. Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness Maintain detailed records of financial transactions using software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Generate financial reports, including monthly statements and budget analyses, to support management decision-making Manage tax-related activities and ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards for non-profit or corporate entities Perform account analysis and double-entry bookkeeping to verify data integrity across all financial systems Requirements Proven experience in full-charge bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit sectors Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems Strong understanding of GAAP principles, governmental accounting standards (if applicable), and technical accounting concepts Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation efficiently Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and tax preparation experience Excellent skills in financial report writing, account analysis, and budget management High proficiency in 10 key typing and strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping Join us in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly impact our organization’s financial stability!
