Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of an assigned administrator, organize and implement services for pupils with severe vision impairments including assessment of pupils' functional vision; evaluate and recommend appropriate assistive technology and modified reading materials for pupil's use; instruct pupils in skills necessary to utilize recommended assistive technology and skills unique to impaired vision; collaborate with teachers, parents, other support personnel and administrators to facilitate inclusion of pupils in the least restrictive learning environment. Requirements / Qualifications THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION: Copy of valid California Education Specialist Instruction credential authorizing service as a teacher of the visually impaired OR appropriate intern-eligible letter from college/university, clearly stating what applicant is eligible for. Copy of CLAD certification or English Learner Authorization *Transcripts AB 2534: ALL PREVIOUS CERTIFICATED EMPLOYMENT MUST BE LISTED. LIST EACH DISTRICT, INCLUDING SUBSTITUTE TEACHING EXPERIENCE.
