Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Full Time Assistant Teacher in the Twos Class! This exciting role offers the opportunity to nurture and inspire young learners during their foundational years. As an integral part of our classroom community, you'll support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where children can thrive. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the groundwork for lifelong learning, fostering curiosity, social skills, and independence in our youngest students. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional development. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills through effective behavior management techniques. Engage with children through play-based learning activities that promote cognitive, motor, and language development, including proofreading and tutoring when needed. Provide attentive childcare by ensuring children’s safety, hygiene, and well-being throughout the day. Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive environment tailored to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment that supports Montessori or other early childhood educational philosophies. Skills Demonstrated experience working with young children in classroom settings or childcare environments. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early education best practices. Knowledge of special education strategies and behavior management techniques to support children with diverse needs. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and families. Ability to mentor and guide children positively while fostering independence and curiosity. Experience working with students who have autism or other special needs is highly desirable. Familiarity with literacy education, math concepts, and tutoring strategies suitable for twos age group.
