Our graduates are confident women who are lifelong learners, spiritual seekers, and compassionate global citizens.___________________________________________________________________________Position Summary: Notre Dame Academy seeks a full-time High School English Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year and work with students in grades 9-10. This role focuses on building foundational literacy, critical thinking, and a love of reading and writing.Teachers at Notre Dame Academy play a vital role in forming young women of intellect, faith, and purpose. In addition to classroom instruction, faculty members serve as mentors, advisors, and active participants in a collaborative, student-centered school environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with course objectives and school standardsCreate a classroom environment that is structured, inclusive, and supportive of student learning and growthAssess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedbackMaintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleaguesCollaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, interdisciplinary opportunities, and school initiativesParticipate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events (including occasional evenings or weekends)Uphold and model the mission and values of Notre Dame Academy in all aspects of school lifeContribute to a positive school culture grounded in respect, responsibility, and care for othersTeach reading, writing, grammar, and literatureFoster discussion-based and reflective classroom experiencesSupport students growth as thoughtful readers and confident writersBuild strong relationships during a key developmental stage
