Neonatologist Opportunity - Help Build a Brand-New NICU in Central Florida Requisition ID Neonatologist Position Type Full Time Pediatrix® Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join our nationally recognized neonatology team at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL. About Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Founded in 1947, South Lake Hospital is committed to serving the community and promoting healthy lifestyles. ~180-acre Wellness and Education campus The NICU & Practice Opportunity This brand new Level II NICU is designed for growth and supported by an established regional network. ~ Projected NICU average daily census of 5-6 by year-end ~ Newborn nursery ADC of 6-7 ~~Support from Pediatrix's flagship Level IV NICU at Winnie Palmer Hospital (142 beds) ~ A collaborative care model with Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs), and Pediatric Hospitalists ~ Neonatologist schedule: 10-13 shifts (24-hour) per month, based on a combined in-house daytime and on-call evenings/weekends model ~ 24-hour shifts, providing balanced coverage and continuity ~ Opportunity to rotate through the Level IV NICU at Winnie Palmer in Orlando Clermont offers a high quality of life, featuring unique rolling hills, scenic lakes, and small town charm Plenty of new residential growth within an area known for top-rated schools At Pediatrix, you'll be part of a physician-led organization known for clinical excellence, professional support, and long-term stability.
