Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate FULL TIME NOC (11PM-7AM) CAREGIVER to provide exceptional overnight care and support to residents in a long-term care or assisted living environment. This vital role involves ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing memory loss such as dementia or Alzheimer’s. As a caregiver on the night shift, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a calm, safe, and nurturing environment through attentive personal care, medication management, and engaging social interactions. Your commitment will help residents enjoy restful nights while receiving the respectful and professional care they deserve. Responsibilities Provide personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents’ vital signs and observe for any health changes or signs of distress during overnight hours Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration throughout the night Support residents with dementia or memory care needs by implementing behavior management techniques and engaging them in calming activities Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Document incidents, resident status updates, and care activities thoroughly to ensure seamless communication among team members Qualifications Prior experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or personal care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other cognitive impairments Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications related to caregiving or nursing support are advantageous Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and compassion Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, team members, and emergency responders if needed Valid driver’s license is a plus for community outings or transportation needs Join us in making a meaningful difference overnight!
