Job Description
Organization- Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Villas Summary Elevate the dining experience at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells by leading the team responsible for maintaining our world-class standards of cleanliness, presentation, and operational flow. The Sanitation and Equipment Supervisor is a Dishwashing/Stewarding Supervisor position, and it holds a pivotal leadership role, ensuring the seamless operation and organization of all culinary support areas across the resort. The pay rate for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 hourly. This is the pay rate for this position that the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education. Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence: Direct and oversee the stewarding team, coordinating the critical movement of supplies, equipment, and resources to support diverse hotel venues and events. Impeccable Standards: Conduct meticulous inspections of staff performance and production, strictly upholding the highest sanitation and cleaning protocols essential for a luxury property. Team Leadership: Take the initiative in training new colleagues, assisting with scheduling, and supporting the Stewarding Manager in all facets of daily department management. Qualifications The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven leadership and operational excellence, meeting the following minimum requirements: Certification: Current and valid Riverside County Food Handler’s Certificate is mandatory. Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory-level experience within a high-volume Stewarding or culinary support environment. Leadership Acumen: Proven capability to independently lead, direct, and manage a team effectively in the absence of the Stewarding Manager. Communication & Precision: Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and accurately execute complex written and verbal instructions with precise detail. Physical Demands: Must possess the physical stamina and strength necessary to lift, push, and pull moderate weight and traverse long distances across the property throughout a shift. Mobility: A valid, active Driver's License with a clean driving record (no incidents) over the last three (3) years. Operational Skill: Demonstrated skill in operating resort vehicles, specifically a golf cart with a trailer attachment.
