Company Overview: A private equity firm founded in 1984, specializing in investments across healthcare, consumer products, retail, industrials, and communications sectors, is seeking a Fund Operations Supervisor to join their Boston office. Job Responsibilities: Supervise day-to-day fund treasury processes, including review and coordination of domestic and international wires, account transfers, money market activity, and other cash movements. Review daily cash activity and support liquidity needs related to capital calls, investments, distributions, management fees, debt obligations, and other operating requirements. Coordinate the opening, maintenance, and closing of bank, brokerage, and custody accounts, including documentation, KYC materials, entitlements, signatory changes, and record maintenance. Maintain wire instructions, payment templates, and treasury management system workflows; monitor routine exceptions related to payments, bank statement imports, and connectivity issues. Perform or review daily and periodic reconciliations between bank and custody activity and internal records; investigate breaks and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items. Serve as a primary operational point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding payment status, account information, wire inquiries, and issue resolution. Support transaction funding, settlement coordination, and follow-up on delayed or failed items related to investments, distributions, and other fund activity. Help ensure adherence to internal treasury policies, approval requirements, dual-control standards, and applicable counterparty or regulatory requirements. Assist with routine interactions with banks and custodians, including service matters, account maintenance, and documentation follow-up. Prepare and maintain operating procedures, control evidence, and supporting documentation for audits, internal reviews, and recurring reporting needs. Conduct callback procedures with third parties to validate banking information, confirm changes to wire instructions, and mitigate fraud risk before processing transactions. Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement practical workflow enhancements that improve accuracy, timeliness, and control. Supervise and train junior team members by assigning work, reviewing output, and reinforcing standards for accuracy, responsiveness, and control discipline. Identify and support practical AI use cases that enhance daily operational efficiency and strengthen controls. Support cross-functional projects and other ad hoc fund operations initiatives as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; concentration in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred. Experience with Kyriba or a similar treasury management system. 5-8 years of relevant experience in treasury operations, preferably within private equity, alternative investments, or asset management. Experience in processing and reviewing cash transactions across multiple legal entities. Prior experience training, reviewing, and supervising junior staff strongly preferred. Strong working knowledge of cash management, reconciliations, payment controls, KYC or bank account onboarding, and treasury operational controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Power BI or similar reporting tools are a plus. Working knowledge of SWIFT messaging, custody workflows, and credit facility processes preferred.
