OverviewJoin our team as a Garden Center Clerk and be the heart of our outdoor and gardening department! In this energetic role, you'll engage with customers, assist with plant selection, and help with taking orders in person and over the phone.Your enthusiasm for gardening, horticulture, and outdoor living will help inspire our customers to create beautiful outdoor spaces.This paid position offers a dynamic environment where your knowledge of landscape maintenance, plant information, as well as hard goods such as stone, mulch, soil and retail sales can flourish.Whether you're helping a customer pick the perfect plants or managing inventory, your positive attitude will make every visit memorable.Potential for full time position. Dump truck and skid loader experience a plus! Duties Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on gardening, landscape maintenance, and hard materials such as stone, soil and mulch.Assist customers in selecting plants.Answering phones including delivery orders for stock such as mulch, stone and soil.Maintain the appearance of the garden center by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products effectively Provide excellent customer service when answering phones or talking to customers Experience with retail sales environments including cashiering Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers effectively Proven organizational skills for maintaining a tidy work area Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle cash handling accurately and perform retail math confidently Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us as a Garden Center Clerk and help our customers cultivate their outdoor dreams!
