Position Description: Our Apprenticeship Program is a structured training program designed to provide new field employees with sufficient training and on-the-job work experience to prepare the employee to properly and safely complete their job duties. The program consists of gas distribution, field service, and gas operations while focusing on safety including: excavation, fire extinguishers, hazard communication, respiratory protection, personal protective equipment training, and safe vehicle operation. Functions of this job will include, but are not limited to: Safely operating company equipment Ability to perform general construction labor related to installation of main lines, service renewals, and line replacement Troubleshooting and investigating gas leaks First responder to leaks - reacting immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others Examining and inspecting gas appliances and performing re-lights Accurately communicating company policies and procedures and assisting customers with inquiries while on site We desire someone who reflects the ONE Gas company values and culture.
