ServiceSource is an organization of talented people who drive innovation, embrace change, and strengthen communities.As a qualified nonprofit agency operating within the AbilityOne program, ServiceSource hires persons with significant disabilities.For the majority of direct labor positions, ServiceSource will obtain documentation of a significant disability as per the JWOD Act.Pay rate :$17.75 $4.93 Health and Welfare per hour Choice of working hours 7:00 am to 3:30 PM or 7:30 am to 4:00 PM Job Summary The General Clerk I is responsible for supporting document digitization processes by preparing, scanning, auditing and reviewing microfilm and microfiche images to ensure accurate and high-quality digital conversion.This role involves scanning, adjusting basic settings for optimal image capture, reviewing image frames for clarity and proper document breaks, and performing data entry and indexing tasks.The position requires attention to detail, basic analytical skills, and the ability to follow established procedures to maintain quality standards.Primary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The following duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review:Prepare and organize microfilm and microfiche reels for digitization.Operate scanning equipment to capture images according to established quality standards.Perform audit checks on digitized images to verify visual accuracy and correct any framing or alignment issues.Review scanned images for proper document breaks, clarity and completeness.Enter indexing data accurately into the system to ensure proper file naming conventions.Follow established workflows and quality assurance procedures throughout the digitization process.Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress, issues, or process improvements.Adhere to confidentiality and data security guidelines when handling sensitive documents.Perform other related clerical tasks, as assigned to support the digitization project.Adhere to assigned work schedule in alignment with contract and site requirements (e.g., 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.or 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.).Additional Responsibilities Perform other responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Education, Experience, and Certification(s) High school diploma or equivalent required.One year of experience in data entry, clerical work, or a similar role requiring accuracy and attention to detail while keying data (preferred) No certifications required; however, prior experience in document scanning or digitization is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge Basic understanding of computer operations and file management.Familiarity with standard office practices and procedures.Skills Proficient in operating a computer and navigating basic computer applications such as Word and Excel.Ability to type accurately and efficiently.Proficient in the use of a 10-key number pad on a computer keyboard.Good reading and writing skills for interpreting and entering data.Excellent verbal communication skills for team coordination.Abilities Ability to meet productivity, quantitative deliverables and quality standards in a structured workflow environment.Ability to perform routine scanning-related tasks following established procedures.Ability to work on repetitive tasks for extended periods with minimal supervision.Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to maintain focus and accuracy during high-volume production work.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.Ability to perform computer-based tasks for extended periods, including prolonged screen time, while maintaining accuracy and focus.Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality to meet operational and contractual requirements.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:Sit for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks and viewing screens.Use hands and fingers to handle, position, and manipulate microfilm, microfiche, and related scanning equipment.Reach with hands and arms to load and adjust reels or documents.Occasionally stand and walk within the work area.Occasionally assist with moving or repositioning material and equipment, which may involve lifting up to 25 pounds.Maintain visual acuity for prolonged periods, including close vision for detailed image review, color v
