Central Washington Asphalt, Inc.is currently hiring energized and motivated General Construction Laborers in the Wenatchee area.Experience is a plus, but we are also looking for hard working men and women who desire to get in on the ground level, learn the business and work their way up.JOB Summary:Responsibilities for a General Construction Laborer are to perform various physical tasks on commercial job sites in support of the overall project.this includes, but is not limited to assisting other craft workers during all phases of a project.This position may operate a variety of hand and power tools, clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, clean up debris and remove waste materials to maintain a clean and safe working environment.The right candidates will be dependable and looking for a long-term position.Able to arrive at the job site on time and ready for hard work.Must be able to work independently as well as being part of a team.A self starter with a positive attitude is the person that will succeed.Be advised, THIS IS A PHYSICALLY DEMANDING JOB THAT WILL REQUIRE YOU TO WORK AT HEIGHTS, OUTDOORS AND POSSIBLY IN ADVERSE CONDITIONS.If you are not accustomed to hard work or challenging environments, this is not the job for you.Specific Skills and Job Requirements:Basic working knowledge of power tools and equipment Working knowledge of various construction materials Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs., walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.Employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries object and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.Requires good manual dexterity and full mobility of the back, arms and legs in the course of performing this job.Ability to walk over rough, uneven or slippery surfaces Ability to climb stairs or ladders Ability to work in a variety of physical positions including but not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, crawling and walking.While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is exposed to wet, cold, heat, quickly changing conditions, work near moving mechanical parts or equipment in outdoor weather conditions.General Employment Requirements:Authorized to work in the United States We are a drug free workplace and candidates must pass drug screening and comply with drug-free workplace policy Pass a background check Must have reliable transportation to job sites Ability to work overtime as may be required, including extended work days and weekends as necessary Benefits:Competitive wages Medical, dental & vision plans 401k WA state sick leave Job Type:Full-time Pay:$18.00 - $23.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
