Job Description
We are a family owned company seeking an experienced, licensed General Contractor / Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of custom single-family homes and multi-family housing projects. In this hands-on leadership role, you will manage all phases of construction , from pre-construction planning through final delivery ,while leading a team of field staff and subcontractors across multiple active projects. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all phases of custom home builds and multi-family housing projects from groundbreaking through punch list and final delivery Directly manage and mentor a team of field personnel and subcontractors, fostering accountability, safety, and quality across all sites Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; proactively identify and resolve schedule or cost risks Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts to verify scope, coordinate trades, and enforce quality standards Oversee daily site operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and inspection requirements Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, architects, engineers, municipal inspectors, and suppliers Prepare accurate cost estimates, review bids, negotiate subcontractor agreements, and manage all project documentation from RFIs to change orders Requirements: Active General Contractor license — valid and in good standing (required) Proven experience building custom single-family homes, including ground-up construction from foundation to finish Demonstrated experience managing multi-family housing projects (apartments, townhomes, condos, or similar) Hands-on team leadership experience — ability to hire, direct, and hold accountable field crews and subcontractors across multiple projects simultaneously Confident reading blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications across all residential construction trades Strong knowledge of construction estimating, scheduling, contracts, permitting, and safety compliance Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or similar) Excellent organizational and communication skills Preferred: Bluebeam Revu proficiency; OSHA 30 certification; familiarity with Civil 3D This is a long-term opportunity to play a central role in a growing company where your decisions matter and your work is visible.
