Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations and medical history reviews, utilizing dental terminology and medical documentation standards. Deliver a wide range of dental services such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures with precision and aseptic technique. Utilize dental imaging tools and knowledge of anatomy to diagnose oral health issues accurately. Implement infection control protocols adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict sterilization procedures. Conduct patient education on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote long-term oral health. Collaborate with dental assistants and staff to ensure efficient four-handed dentistry practices that enhance patient comfort and clinic productivity. Maintain detailed medical records using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with legal standards for medical documentation and medical records management. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with a strong foundation in general dentistry procedures. Demonstrated proficiency with dental office software platforms like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Knowledge of infection control standards, medical imaging techniques, and anatomy relevant to oral health. Prior experience working with pediatric patients or in pediatric dentistry settings is a plus. Strong understanding of dental terminology, HIPAA compliance requirements, and medical/clinical documentation practices. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
