Position description Position Title: General Internal Medicine Faculty Member Location: San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) Division: General Internal Medicine (DGIM) Employer: University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Position Overview The Department of Medicine at UCSF is seeking a dynamic and dedicated colleague to join the General Internal Medicine Faculty at SFGH. To support the academic mission of UCSF and SFGH's commitment to high-quality, equitable care that advances public health, this position will combine educational responsibilities with the opportunity to pursue independently funded research, primary care and/or inpatient clinical work. The successful candidate will hold an academic rank as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in one of the following series: Health Science, Adjunct, In Residence, or Clinical Professor of Medicine. The role offers exibility in commitment of effort, depending on the applicant's interests and available resources. Academic Responsibilities Mentor residents and fellows in clinical and translational research, contributing to the academic growth of junior faculty May also include demonstrating a clear path towards independent research funding to support the conduct of impactful research related to primary care, substance use disorders, chronic disease prevention, health policy, implementation science, and women's health
