General Laborer - Heavy Industrial _ Knoxville, TN _ _ $17.00 per hour _ _ Full-Time Contract-to-hire _ Position Overview We are currently hiring General Laborers for immediate openings supporting the assembly and construction of large heavy industrial equipment in the Knoxville area.This is a long-term opportunity offering consistent hours and a stable work schedule.Employees will work in a safety-focused industrial environment performing hands-on labor, equipment assembly, and production support activities while following engineering drawings and established procedures. Job Responsibilities Perform general labor and assembly work on heavy industrial equipment Read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions Utilize hand tools, power tools, and production equipment Perform physically demanding manual labor tasks Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE Maintain quality standards and attention to detail Support team operations as needed within the facility Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 1 year experience working with hand tools or industrial equipment preferred Ability to perform heavy manual labor and work in an industrial environment Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Employment Requirements Final candidates must successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements consistent with company policy and applicable law, including: Ability to pass a lab-based pre-employment drug screening , which tests for controlled substances including THC Ability to meet company background screening standards required for site access Valid Driver's License required Acceptable driving record Reliable transportation to and from the worksite Pay & Benefits $17.00 per hour Full-time schedule with consistent hours Long-term contract opportunity Safe and team-oriented work environment Schedule Currently General Laborers are working four ten-hour shifts each week.There are often opportunities for overtime. The schedule is subject to change based on production needs.Candidates must be able to adapt to other schedules as needed.
