General Laborer - technician

Job Title:Entry Level Technician Job Code:_________ Supervisors:Grade:___________ Department:FLSA Status:_______ EEOC Class:________ General Summary:Responsible for all duties performed in coordination with the assisting of technicians at job sites Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assists in investigating issues with systems, assessing actions that can be taken, using the necessary equipment to solve the problem, cleaning up upon completion of the job Assists in finding & exposing tanks, checking the system for any problems, attaching hoses to truck, pumping the system, cleaning up hose, putting lids back on tank, and neatly replacing dirt and landscaping Assists in conducting post trip inspection, filling out related reports for inspection, & making minor repairs to truck as needed Assists in performing routine maintenance on truck, including changing the oil and filters, greasing, and putting new tires on truck Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Skills in communicating effectively, efficiently, and politely Ability to write effectively and neatly Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot Education Experience No education experience is needed for this position Physical Requirements Rarely (0%-15%) Occasionally (16%-40%) Frequently (41%-65%) Regularly (66%-100%) Seeing:Must be able to read work-orders, street signs, and see in dark places X Hearing:Must be able to talk over the phone and in person, listen for various issues with equipment X Standing/Walking X Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling X Lifting/Pulling/Pushing:Must be able to lift up to at least 100 pounds X Fingering/Grasping/Feeling:Must be able to work with both small and large tools, work in electrical panels, etc.X Working Conditions:An assistant technician is mostly outdoors and deals with all types of weather, including rain, snow, hot temperatures, cold temperatures, and wind chill.Assistant technicians also have to deal with stinging insects, such as bees and wasps, and certain plants, such as thorns, poison ivy, and poison oak.Note:The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees, and are not to be construed as an exhaustive lit of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.Furthermore, they do not establish a contract for employment and are subject to change at the discretion of the employer.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$18.50 - $19.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Language:English (Required) Shift availability:Day Shift (Required) Ability to Commute:Huntsburg, OH (Required) Work Location:In person.
