Focal Point Beer Compoany is looking for a strong manager to help run a busy food and beverage operation with a large outdoor space in Long Island City. This is a hands-on role. You’ll be responsible for keeping service tight, staff accountable, and owning key parts of the business—not just managing shifts. You’ll work directly with ownership and the kitchen team to keep things running at a high level and improve operations over time. What You’ll Be Responsible For Managing the floor during service and keeping things moving during peak hours Hiring, training, and managing front of house staff Scheduling and labor control Overseeing and maintaining the cocktail program Ordering alcohol and managing inventory Managing and ordering merchandise Handling private party inquiries and helping execute events Maintaining service standards, cleanliness, and organization Handling guest and staff issues in real time What We’re Looking For Experience managing in a high-volume restaurant or bar Proven ability to hire and build a strong team Strong presence on the floor — this is not an office role Organized and detail-oriented (inventory, scheduling, ordering) Someone who takes ownership and wants to improve how things run Willing to work nights and weekends Compensation Base salary: $75,000 – $80,000 Quarterly performance bonus tied to key business metrics Paid vacation Growth opportunity as the business expands Other Details Location: 43-50 12th street Long Island City, NY 11101 Schedule: 5 days/week (includes nights + weekends) If you’re interested, reply with your experience and availability.
